The OSU Center for Veterinary Health Sciences Ranch is an off-site extension of the OSU Veterinary Medical Hospital specializing in equine and bovine breeding and reproduction services. This ranch is equipped to handle all aspects of large animal reproduction, both routine breeding work and more advanced techniques.
The Center for Veterinary Health Sciences Ranch (CVHSR) has a three fold mission:
To provide a teaching environment primarily for fourth-year veterinary students, for first through third year students, and also for continuing education programs for practicing veterinarians. This is to train tomorrow’s veterinarians and upgrade the skills of today’s practitioners.
To provide referring veterinarians and the regional equine industry high quality, state-of-the-art clinical services in the area of equine theriogenology.
To be a center for clinically applied research in the field of large animal theriogenology with emphasis on infertility and assisted reproductive technologies involving both the mare and stallion.
