DESCRIPTION

A plant growth regulator with plant growth-stimulating and antioxidant activities; increases the dry weight of barley, corn, and tomato seedlings in greenhouse pot tests at 0.001 and 0.01 mg/L; increases the photosynthetic rate in isolated pea protoplasts and pea seedlings at 1 µM; increases photosynthesis in pea protoplasts at 1.56 µM; an inhibitor of 1-LO (Ki = 5 µM for the soybean enzyme); decreases TBARS levels in isolated chloroplasts from spinach leaves at 120 nM
