Polyclonal Antibody to Tnfaip2

Abeomics

DESCRIPTION

TNFAIP2 (Tumor Necrosis Factor- Alpha Inducible Protein-2) belonging to the SEC6 family was originally identified as a gene transcript induced in endothelial cells following stimulation with TNFAlpha. TNFAIP2 acts as a cell migration-promoting protein and its expression predicts distant metastasis. This protein serves as an independent prognostic indicator for nasopharyngeal carcinoma.TNFAIP2 is induced in a variety of cell types in response a spectrum of pro-inflammatory stimuli, including LPS and IL-1. This protein is normally expressed by follicular dendritic cells, interdigitating dendritic cells, and macrophages but not by lymphoid cells in secondary lymphoid tissues.
