GLP-1R (D-6)

Santa Cruz Biotechnology

DESCRIPTION:
mouse monoclonal IgG2a; GLP-1R Antibody (D-6) is an IgG2a κ mouse monoclonal GLP-1R antibody (also designated GLP1R antibody, glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor antibody, glucagon receptor family G protein-coupled receptor antibody, glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP1) receptor antibody, glucose-induced insulin secretion-dependent glucagon receptor antibody, pancreatic beta cell marker antibody, or neuronal marker antibody) that detects the GLP-1R protein of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA. GLP-1R Antibody (D-6) is available as both the non-conjugated anti-GLP-1R antibody form, as well as multiple conjugated forms of anti-GLP-1R antibody, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Glucagon, a pancreatic hormone, functions as an antagonist to insulin, stimulating the conversion of glycogen to glucose and increasing blood sugar levels. GLP-1 functions as a transmitter in the central nervous system, inhibiting feeding and drinking behavior. Both Glucagon and GLP-1 function through their specific binding to the Glucagon receptor or GLP-1R, respectively. The Glucagon receptor shows expression in liver, kidney and adipose tissue. GLP-1R expression primarily localizes to areas of the hypothalamus involved in feeding behavior. Both receptors and their ligands serve as potential targets for the therapeutic treatment of diabetes.
