Anti-Lactate dehydrogenase A, LDH-A antibody

Biospes

DESCRIPTION

Lactate dehydrogenase A, also known as LDHA, is found predominantly in muscle tissue and belongs to the lactate dehydrogenase family. It is encoded by the LDHA gene which contains 7 exons and spans about 12 kb. It catalyzes the conversion of L-lactate and NAD+ to pyruvate and NADH in the final step of anaerobic glycolysis. Mutations in LDHA have been linked to exertional myoglobinuria.
