A DNA sequence encoding the extracellular domain (Met 1-Gln 527) of the influenza A H5N8 hemagglutinin (A/duck/NY/191255-59/2002 (H5N8)) (AAP72011.1), (HA1+HA2, uncleaved) was expressed, fused with a C-terminal polyhistidine tag.
