Anti-Rabphilin 3A (Ser234) Antibody

PhosphoSolutions

DESCRIPTION

Our Anti-Rabphilin 3A (Ser234) rabbit polyclonal phosphospecific primary antibody from PhosphoSolutions is produced in-house. It detects rat Rabphilin 3A (Ser234) and is antigen affinity purified from pooled serum. It is great for use in WB, ICC.

DETAILS

  • Form: Antigen Affinity Purified from Pooled Serum
  • Gene: RPH3A
  • Host: Rabbit
  • Rrid: AB_2492222
  • Type: Primary Antibody
  • Buffer: 10 mM HEPES (pH 7.5), 150 mM NaCl, 100 µg per ml BSA and 50% glycerol.
  • Target: Rabphilin 3A (Ser234)
  • Isotype: IgG
  • Storage: Storage at -20°C is recommended, as aliquots may be taken without freeze/thawing due to presence of 50% glycerol. Stable for at least 1 year at -20°C.
  • Shipping: Blue Ice
  • Synonyms: Exophilin 1 antibody, Exophilin-1 antibody, Exophilin1 antibody, KIAA0985 antibody, Rabphilin 3A homolog antibody, Rabphilin-3A antibody, Rabphilin3A antibody, RP3A antibody, RP3A_HUMAN antibody, Rph 3a antibody, Rph3a antibody
  • Clonality: Polyclonal
  • Immunogen: Synthetic phospho-peptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding Ser234 of rat rabphilin 3A, conjugated to keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH).
  • Expiration: After date of receipt, stable for at least 1 year at -20°C.
  • Specificity: Specific for endogenous levels of the ~82 kDa rabphilin protein phosphorylated at Ser234. Immunolabeling is blocked by preadsorption with the phosphopeptide used as antigen, but not by the corresponding non-phosphopeptide.
  • Applications: WB, ICC
  • Ncbi Gene Id: 171039
  • Conjugate Exem: Unconjugated
  • Physical State: Liquid
  • Quality Control: Western blots performed on each lot.

  • Molecular Weight: 82
  • Production Notes: Prepared from pooled rabbit serum by affinity purification via sequential chromatography on phospho and non-phosphopeptide affinity columns.
  • Dilution Range Wb: 1:1000
  • Immunogen Species: Rat
  • Dilution Range Icc: 1:400
  • Species Reactivity: Rat
  • Target Description: Rabphilin-3A is a peripheral membrane protein that binds Ca2+ and phospholipids and is attached to synaptic vesicle membranes (Geppert et al., 1994; Li et al., 1994). The expression of rabphilin 3A is reduced in an animal model of Huntington’s disease (Smith et al., 2005). Rabphilin can be phosphorylated at Ser-234 by both CAM kinase II and PKA and this phosphorylation has been suggested to regulate neuronal activity during development in a synapse-specific manner (Fykse et al., 1995; Foletti and Scheller, 2001).
  • Expected Reactivity: Mouse
  • Dilution Range Wb Brain: 1:1000
  • Uniprot Number Immunogen Species: P47709
  • Post Translational Modification Type: Phosphorylated
  • Post Translational Modification Residue: Ser234
