The all new TC9639 Thermal Cycler has been designed to provide consistent, reliable results to high to medium throughput laboratories. This thermal cycler is full of convenient features from its touch screen user interface to its unique combination block. It is easy to use, with intuitive programming and a library of preinstalled programs. Touch Screen Programming The large, full color touch screen is the user interface for the TC9639. Programming is simple and intuitive - users can use one of the 10 standard protocols saved in the library, edit an existing program, or use the protocol wizard to guide them through writing a new one. Programs are show graphically and edited by simply touching the step that needs to be changed. The programming also allows for time and temperature increments to be built into programs as well as slower ramp rates. Programs can be stored in public folders, private folders or on a flash drive. The full virtual keyboard allows for alphanumeric naming of programs and folders. Unique Sample Block While many cyclers accept both tubes and plates, only the TC9677 has the flexibility to accept 96 x 0.2ml tubes, a 96 well plate or 39 x 0.5ml tubes all in the same sample block. Additionally, the unit may be purchased with a 384 well sample block. An in-situ adapter is available for use with slides. Fast cycling The TC9639 utilizes Peltier units to achieve fast heating and cooling of the sample block. Precise control of the Peltier elements is achieved by an algorithm that simulates sample temperature. The inner plated of the heated lid is fully adjustable to prevent evaporation and condensation of samples. The lid temperature can be programmed, and when the block temperature is below 35°, the lid shuts off. After cycling is completed, the block can be programmed to sit at 4°C.
