DESCRIPTION:
Source: Sf9, Baculovirus cells.Sterile Filtered colorless solution.Integrin Binding Sialoprotein (IBSP) is a monomeric noncollagenous protein which belongs to the SIBLING family of extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins. IBSP is synthesized by platelets, odontoblasts, osteocytes, osteoblasts, osteoclasts, and bone marrow stromal cells. IBSP forms an integral part of the mineralized matrix and also plays a role as the main mediator of the hypertrophic chondrocytes-induced angiogenesis. IBSP which binds firmly to hydroxyapatite is related to the severity of histological cartilage lesions.IBSP produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 309 amino acids (17-317aa) and having a molecular mass of 34.5kDa (Migrates at 70-100kDa on SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions).
