DESCRIPTION

DMNP-EDTA (also known as DM-Nitrophen) is a caged calcium chelator. Upon photolysis, the Kd of the chelator for calcium increases from 5 nm to 3 mM, resulting in a pulse of free calcium. The AM ester form of the compound is membrane permeant for cell loading by incubation. MW 671, 1 mg.
