Anti-Glycogen synthase kinase 3 B (GSK3B) (Ser9) Antibody
PhosphoSolutions
DETAILS
- Form: Antigen Affinity Purified from Pooled Serum
- Gene: GSK3B
- Host: Rabbit
- Rrid: AB_2492134
- Type: Primary Antibody
- Buffer: 10 mM HEPES (pH 7.5), 150 mM NaCl, 100 µg per ml BSA and 50% glycerol.
- Target: Glycogen synthase kinase 3 B (GSK3B) (Ser9)
- Isotype: IgG
- Storage: Storage at -20°C is recommended, as aliquots may be taken without freeze/thawing due to presence of 50% glycerol. Stable for at least 1 year at -20°C.
- Shipping: Blue Ice
- Synonyms: Glycogen Synthase Kinase 3 Beta antibody, Glycogen synthase kinase-3 beta antibody, GSK 3 beta antibody, GSK-3 beta antibody, GSK3B antibody, GSK3B_HUMAN antibody, GSK3beta isoform antibody, Serine/threonine-protein kinase GSK3B antibody
- Clonality: Polyclonal
- Immunogen: Synthetic phospho-peptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding Ser9 of rat GSK3β, conjugated to keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH).
- Expiration: After date of receipt, stable for at least 1 year at -20°C.
- Specificity: Specific for the ~46 kDa GSK3β protein phosphorylated at Ser9. Also weakly labels the ~51 kDa GSK3β band due to the high degree of homology between the 2 subunits. Immunolabeling is blocked by the phosphopeptide used as antigen but not by the corresponding dephosphopeptide.
- Applications: WB
- Ncbi Gene Id: 84027
- Conjugate Exem: Unconjugated
- Physical State: Liquid
- Quality Control: Western blots performed on each lot.
- Usage Statement: For research use only. Not intended for therapeutic or diagnostic use. Use of all products is subject to our terms and conditions, which can be viewed on our website.
- Molecular Weight: 46
- Production Notes: Prepared from pooled rabbit serum by affinity purification via sequential chromatography on phospho and non-phosphopeptide affinity columns.
- Dilution Range Wb: 1:1000
- Immunogen Species: Rat
- Species Reactivity: Mouse and Rat
- Target Description: Glycogen synthase kinase 3 (GSK3) is a serine/threonine kinase that is involved in the regulation of many signaling pathways. To date, 2 isoforms have been identified: GSK3α and GSK3β. Specifically, GSK3β has been shown to play a key inhibitory role in both the insulin and Wnt signaling pathways (Papkoff and Aikawa 1998). It has been suggested that Ser-9 phosphorylation underlies the inhibition of GSK3β by insulin (Sutherland et al., 1993).
- Expected Reactivity: Bovine, Canine, Chicken, Human, Non-Human Primate, Xenopus, Zebrafish
- Dilution Range Wb Brain: 1:1000
- Uniprot Number Immunogen Species: P18266
- Post Translational Modification Type: Phosphorylated
- Post Translational Modification Residue: Ser9
DESCRIPTION
Our Anti-Glycogen synthase kinase 3 B (GSK3B) (Ser9) rabbit polyclonal phosphospecific primary antibody from PhosphoSolutions is produced in-house. It detects mouse and rat Glycogen synthase kinase 3 B (GSK3B) (Ser9) and is antigen affinity purified from pooled serum. It is great for use in WB.
