DESCRIPTION

NBQX is a potent and selective AMPA and kainate receptor antagonist that is used to counter glutamate excitotoxicity. It is reported to exhibit anticonvulsant activity in rodent models. NBQX disodium salt is the more water soluble version of this reagent.
