Galactose, 360 mg

Vector Laboratories

DESCRIPTION

Galactose, 360 mg. Galactose sugar is provided for use as an inhibitor of lectin–conjugate binding or for eluting glycoproteins or other glycoconjugates from columns of agarose lectins. This sugar is supplied as a dry powder and can be reconstituted in 5 ml of distilled or deionized water or in 5 ml of a buffer or salt solution compatible with the lectin under study. If reconstituted in 5 ml, the resulting sugar concentration is 400 mM. The sugar solution can be diluted further when appropriate, or the sugar may be reconstituted with a smaller volume of water or buffer, if the sugar is soluble, to increase the final concentration.
