H_TNFR2 Null Reporter Cell Line
Genomeditech
DESCRIPTION
Tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) is a type II transmembrane protein that exists in a membrane-bound form (mTNF-α). mTNF-α can be processed into a 17 kDa soluble form (sTNF-α) through the action of an enzyme called TNFα-converting enzyme.
TNF-α exerts its functions through two TNF receptor superfamily members: TNF receptor 1 (TNFR1) and TNF receptor 2 (TNFR2). Both receptors have extracellular domains with similar cysteine-rich repeats, which are essential for their activity as homodimers. TNFR2 (Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor 2) is mainly expressed in thymic T lymphocytes, endothelial cells, microglia, and oligodendrocytes.
The H_TNFR2 Null Reporter Cell Line from Genomeditech is a luciferase reporter gene cell line constructed based on the TNF signaling pathway. This cell line only expresses the TNFR1 receptor and not the TNFR2 receptor. Therefore, it can be used as a control cell for the H_TNFR2 Reporter V2 Cell Line (Genomeditech/#GM-C25776).
