TLR8 Antibody (Center) Blocking peptide

Abcepta

DETAILS

  • Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
  • Gene Id: 51311
  • Category: Peptides; Blocking Peptides
  • Subtitle: Synthetic peptide
  • Gene Name: TLR8
  • Other Names: Toll-like receptor 8, CD288, TLR8
  • Availability: 2 weeks
  • Bio Background: The protein encoded by this gene is a member of theToll-like receptor (TLR) family which plays a fundamental role inpathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. TLRs arehighly conserved from Drosophila to humans and share structural andfunctional similarities. They recognize pathogen-associatedmolecular patterns (PAMPs) that are expressed on infectious agents, and mediate the production of cytokines necessary for thedevelopment of effective immunity. The various TLRs exhibitdifferent patterns of expression. This gene is predominantlyexpressed in lung and peripheral blood leukocytes, and lies inclose proximity to another family member, TLR7, on chromosome X.

  • Primary Accession: Q9NR97
  • Targetspecificity: The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP14012c was selected from the Center region of TLR8. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
