Each 3D muscle culture chamber of the OMEGA-MP device contains two micropillars that form anchor points for the formation of 3D skeletal muscle tissue. Compared to monolayer cultures, these 3D cultures are more stable for long-term culture applications and mature rapidly and more completely, making 3D skeletal muscle cultures ideal for establishing long-term muscle cultures. OMEGA-MP devices each contain two individual chambers per device and are specifically sized (dia. 21.25 mm) to be used with 12-well plates. As with all eNUVIO’s OMEGA series, these devices have open-top chambers for full access to the cultures for electrophysiological stimulation or recording, and are fully transparent for imaging applications. The devices are shipped sterile; simply treat each chamber with an anti-fouling coating and seed your cells. Each kit includes 4 x OMEGA-MP devices for 8 individual experiments.
