New-born Calf Serum (Characterized, China) Cat. No.: EC-NCO500 Size: 500mL Description Australian newborn bovine serum is collected from newborn cattle within 2 days of birth. It refers to a light yellow milky liquid separated from the plasma after coagulation of newborn cattle blood and removal of fibrinogen and certain coagulation factors. Newborn bovine serum is a large amount of natural medium used in cell culture, which contains abundant nutrients necessary for cell growth and has extremely important functions. The general addition ratio is 5-20%. Serum contains various amino acids, vitamins, inorganic substances, lipids, and other nutrients necessary for maintaining cell growth. It also contains hormones, growth factors, and binding proteins that can promote cell growth, such as insulin, hydrocortisone, dexamethasone, bFGF, EGF, PDGF, and transferrin. In addition, serum also has detoxification, buffering, and inhibiting protease activity to protect cells from damage. The blood serum of Ekosai newborn cattle is collected from healthy cattle in non epidemic areas, and is prepared through aseptic collection, batch mixing, and filtration through a three-level 100 nm filter. It does not contain mycoplasma, BVDV, PI3, BPV, and other bovine viruses.
