A DNA sequence encoding the N-terminal segment (Met 1-Arg 342) of the influenza A hemagglutinin H11N2 (A/duck/Yangzhou/906/2002 (H11N2)) (AAY85533.1), termed as HA1, was fused with a C-terminal polyhistidine tag.
