DPP8 Assay Kit

BPS Bioscience

DESCRIPTION

The Fluorogenic DPP8 Assay Kit is designed to measure DPP8 activity using purified DPP8 for screening and profiling applications. The key to the Fluorogenic DPP8 Assay Kit is the fluorogenic substrate. Using this kit, only one simple step on a microtiter plate is required for DPP8 reactions. The fluorometric substrate is incubated with a sample containing DPP8 enzyme to produce a fluorophore that can then be measured using a fluorescence reader.

DETAILS

  • Notes: The AMC standard is included so the researcher can quatitatively determine the specific activity of the enzyme using the AMC standard as a measure of how much AMC substrate was cleaved to release free AMC.
  • Shiptemp: -80°C (dry ice)
  • Synonyms: Dipeptidylpeptidase 8, MSTP141
  • Warnings: Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
  • Category: Protease/Assay Kit
  • Background: Dipeptidyl peptidase-8 (DPP8) is a ubiquitously expressed serine exopeptidase that cleaves X-proline dipeptides from the N-terminus of polypeptides. DPP8 shares homology and substrate recognition patterns with DPP4 and like DPP4, is thought to play a role in T-cell activation and immune function.
