Save Time on Histological Analysis With QuantaCell’s AI-Powered QuantAnalytics

QuantaCell’s QuantAnalytics service provides precise and reliable analysis within ten days. Under QuantAnalytics, clients can request image analysis in microscopy, histological quantification, medical image analysis and macro-device analysis, including: cell counting and/or specific cell types, detection of tissue structures, analysis of biomarker expression and more. Additional information can be found here.

Case Study: Quantification of CD3, CD4, CD8 and CD20

QuantaCell’s client reqeusted the percentage of positive cells, density of positive cells and percentage of DAB in 860 slides with 4 markers (CD3, CD4, CD8 and CD20) with DAB and HE stainings (215 slides per marker).

QuantaCell developed two Deep Learning models to detect nuclei in extremely pale images and tumors.

Detecting weak labeling in nuclei was possible through traning a Deep Learning model. A high level of precisiion was achieved after the model adjusted to annotating about 200 tiles stained with different DAB markers (image 1). The second model was trained to detect tumors that the client had previously annotated (image 2).

After detection, QuantaCell analyzed the results to identify cells with and without the marker of interest and tumor areas.

Using QuantaCell’s QuantAnalytics services, the client was able to study how different therapeutic effecgts behaved. Further data, results and analysis can be found in the document below.
