The West Michigan Regional Laboratory (WMRL) is an AAALAC accredited, state of the art research and teaching facility, designed to administer the highest quality and humane care for animals used for research.

Services
WMRL provides a variety of services for instructors and researchers, including:

quality animal care—365 days a year
housing suitable for a variety of species, from mice to sheep
surgical skill training utilizing human cadaveric specimens
training available including regulatory compliance, animal handling, and surgical skills
licensed veterinary technicians (LVTs) to assist in surgical and non-surgical procedures
two large, well equipped surgical suites
state of the art laparoscopic and orthopedic instrumentation, along with extensive surgical instrumentation
imaging capabilities including ultrasound and C-Arm
conference room/class room, catering, and special event coordination
