The small animal/plant microPET and CT facility consists of a fully-equipped procedure room housing the necessary equipment to carry out various micro-techniques in a routine fashion. A dedicated departmental cell laboratory is also offered, enabling over 80 cell lines to be stored and cell suspensions prepared for immediate implantation.
MicroPET and CT Scanners: Two Siemens microPET scanners (microPET-F220 and microPET-Inveon, Siemens Preclincial Solutions, Knoxville, TN) have been installed in the small animal imaging facilities and are fully operational. The microPET-Inveon MultiModality scanner is a combined PET and CT camera designed for the imaging of small laboratory animals and plants.
