Mission Statement
Our Center aims to alleviate the tremendous personal, familial, and societal burden of mental illness by using state-of-the-art genomic technologies to identify molecular markers that can be used to develop new medications and tailor treatment to individual patients.

Rapid advances in genomic technology are revolutionizing biomedical research and will profoundly influence health care in the next decade. Our research is on the forefront of these developments in psychiatry.
We operate from a strong multidisciplinary perspective, blending advanced laboratory, computational, biological, statistical, and clinical expertise.
Since its inception in 2006, we have been awarded more than $20 million in 22 competitive federal grants led by CBRPM faculty. This corresponds to a 2,500% return on investment for our university.
