The Central Science Laboratory (CSL) is a central UTAS service that provides academic and technical advice, support, collaboration and teaching in atomic and molecular analysis and several different forms of microscopy. A host of research level analytical instruments are housed in the CSL, where a wide variety of methodologies are utilised. We also provide high level electronic and mechanical engineering workshop support, ranging from design, coding and construction of unique analytical equipment through to general electronic and mechanical repairs. The CSL also provides Federal organisations, State Government and local industries and communities with access to equipment and scientific services that is not otherwise available in Tasmania.
