The HPI forges collaborations with thematically related university and non-university partner institutes to improve its strategic alignment for future research projects, DFG initiatives, EU grant proposals or initiatives for strengthening translational virology.
Importantly, the HPI is integrated in regional and national research associations such as the CSSB and DZIF, and its science is integrated and connected with other institutes such as the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine (BNI), the Research Center Borstel ( FZB) or the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE).
