The Genomics Unit offers centralized research services and expert consultation in the vast fields of genomics and genetics. Our services span a wide range of applications, from conventional methods to the latest genomic technologies, helping to uncover biological complexities, identify therapeutic targets, and discover prognostic biomarkers. These advanced technologies can analyze entire genomes and their functions, revealing a full spectrum of structural and functional characteristics.

Our facility works with state-of-the-art Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) systems, including the Illumina MiSeq, NextSeq, NovaSeq 6000 and NovaSeq X Plus Sequencing Systems. For single-cell approach with use the 10X Genomics Chromium X that allow us to work with fixed cells. Leveraging the advanced speed and throughput capabilities of these platforms, researchers can expedite their studies by conducting large-scale sequencing projects.

We provide comprehensive analyses of nucleic acids purified from various sources such as snap-frozen tissues, FFPE samples, cell cultures, organoids, plasma, blood, stool, and a wide diversity of enviroments samples (soil, water, air). Our services are offered in both single-end and paired-end sequencing modes:

Genome Sequencing: Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS), Whole Exome Sequencing (WES), and targeted enrichment sequencing.

Transcriptome Sequencing: Total RNA-Seq and mRNA-Seq.

Small Non-Coding RNA Analysis: miRNA-Seq.

Genome-wide DNA Methylation Analysis: Methyl-Seq/BS-Seq and methylation array profiling.

Single-Cell Genomic Applications: scRNA-Seq and Multiome.

Spatial Transcriptomics.

Genome-wide Location Analysis of Nucleic Acid-Protein Interactions: ChIP-Seq.

At the Genomic Facility, we continually establish new protocols to handle challenging samples, including those with low input or poor quality (low RIN/DIN numbers) and metagenomic samples. In addition to our standard services, we offer customized solutions to meet your specific research needs.
