The Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute is a leading cancer research institute within The University of Manchester, core funded by Cancer Research UK, the largest independent cancer research organisation in the world.
Research spans the whole spectrum of cancer research, from programmes investigating the molecular and cellular basis of cancer, to those focussed on translational research and the development of therapeutics. The Institute (previously known as The Paterson Institute for Cancer Research) is based in the Paterson Building which is adjacent to The Christie NHS Foundation Trust.
Our Institute has recently become a partner in the CRUK Centre of Excellence for Lung Cancer and is a key part of the Belfast-Manchester Movember Centre of Excellence for Prostate Cancer.
