TAmiRNA is a Viennese Biotech company, which was founded in 2013. TAmiRNA is dedicated to identifying and validating microRNA biomarkers that can be used for drug development, early diagnosis, and prognosis of disease, and as companion diagnostic tests to support treatment decisions. This work requires high-level expertise in working with miRNAs, requiring sophisticated techniques and tools to screen microRNA transcript levels in virtually any type of cell tissue or biological sample.
TAmiRNA has a successful track record and impressive pipeline in developing novel miRNA biomarkers for toxicology studies and as predictors of ailments, using these to develop companion diagnostics and monitor disease progression.

As a CRO TAmiRNA is able to offer a wide range of validated, high-quality microRNA services, providing specific solutions for:
• Transcriptomics: RNASeq, small RNA-Seq, and qPCR analysis of biofluids, cells, tissues, and extracellular vesicles (EVs) to discover and validate multivariate miRNA, non-coding RNA, and messenger RNA biomarkers.
• Spatial omics: coupling of laser-assisted microdissection of complex tissues and RNA-seq to decipher gene expression in complex tissues in-situ.
• Customer-tailored microRNA biomarker discovery and validation using proprietary small RNA-Seq normalization strategies, machine learning, and customized protocols
• Extracellular vesicles, exosomes, nanovesicles: Proteomic, Lipidomic, and Transcriptomic analysis. Characterization of EVs according to the guidelines of the International Society for Extracellular Vesicles.
• toxomiR: a microRNA-based screening assay for organ injury in 9 different organ systems, utilizing serum or plasma samples
• hepatomiR: a CE-certified assay for the quantification of liver biomarkers (miR-122, miR-192, miR-151a) in human plasma for diagnosis of chronic or acute liver injury.
