SBH Sciences provides cell culture (mammalian and insect cell), protein production and purification, assay development, cytotoxicity testing, cell-based assays and cytokine profiling services.
Our business (25+ years) is based on proteins. We are producing 80 biological (30 cytokines) using mammalian and insect cells, testing biological activity including 330 bioassays for cytokines and 10 bioassays for chemokines.
Each of those bioassays can be used for agonist or antagonist (neutralization) activity. We are the lead company worldwide with those capabilities.
We analyze protein concentrations using 11 innovative platforms including automatic Western Blot (WES; Jess ; ProteinSimple), Luminex, ELLA, FACS, SMCxPRO, Isolight, qRT-PCR, MSD and more. We have been the first CRO worldwide to adapt the automatic western blot and the ELLA.
We are located in Natick, MA and our labs are CLIA certified and GLP although most of the work is conducted as a Research Use Only. We already assisted over 300 biotechnology / diagnostics companies.
Moreover, we have 370 human cancer cell lines [as well as mouse, rat, dog cell lines] and we are providing in-vitro services related to lead drug optimization.
For over six years we have conducted all the in-vitro work for Karyopharm Therapeutics resulted in the discovery of 5 NCE. One compound (XPOVIO) already received FDA approval for two indications.
We also have at SBH seven in-vitro models for inflammation / fibrosis / Neuroinflammation.
