ALFORD BIOREPOSITORY FACILITY is located in purpose built laboratories in the Clinical Sciences Building at Salford Royal Hospital. It provides a professional sample handling and storage service to support the clinical research activities within Salford Royal Foundation Trust.

The team provides support and advice to clinicians and researchers to facilitate the collection of human research samples for clinical and academic studies, and helps ensure continued compliance with the regulatory requirements. The facility holds 9001:2008 quality management certification and operates within Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and Human Tissue Authority (HTA) guidelines.
