It is the mission of the Biological Resource Facility (BRF) to provide a humane and high quality animal care and use program in a manner consistent with animal welfare regulations and policies to facilitate research and teaching at RFUMS. The BRF accomplishes this by providing high quality service, expertise and guidance in all matters related to the care and use of animals. The program unit has been continuously accredited by the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC) since 1985 and is registered with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), as a research site.
