Oxford Lasers provides high-precision laser micromachining and high-speed imaging services and systems. Our contract services for micromachining include laser-drilling of pharmaceutical packaging to create positive controls for container closure integrity testing (CCIT). With high-precision laser drilling down to 2 µm, we help customers to meet EU Annex 1 and USP 1207 deterministic leak testing requirements. We provide Certificates of Conformity (optical or Flow Effective Diameter) on our calibrated micro holes over a range of materials: glass, plastics, and metals in vials, syringes, ampoules, blister packs, IV bags & pouches.

Additionally, we provide contract services with laser illumination for high-speed imaging to evaluate the performance of inhaled drug delivery devices. Our Imaging services provide particle characterisation and analysis of plume geometry to provide insight into the dynamic performance of a range of inhaler types including pMDI, BAI, DPI, SMI, and SMART devices.
