Oxford Brain Diagnostics (OBD) has a revolutionary tool to understand neurodegenerative brain conditions (initial focus Alzheimer’s Disease), building upon world-leading research at the University of Oxford. Our novel and patented approach uses MRI brain scan data (combination of standard structural and diffusion imaging) to identify and then measure the effect of disease progression on the microscopic structure of the brain, with the potential to quantify treatment response during a clinical trial. We can identify the early indications of the disease years before any obvious symptoms.
Our process is completely non-invasive and unlike PET scanning does not require the use of radioactive materials.
Our platform technology, Cortical Disarray Measurement (CDM) has initially been applied to t Alzheimer’s Disease but with the potential to be used to identify other brain conditions. We have also published peer reviewed papers in relation to PD and MS.
