The purpose of this institute is to further medical science by facilitating research and educational activities. Funds donated to and accepted by the institute and the expenditures by the same shall be solely carried out with regard to this aim.
Ocean State Research Institute (OSRI) employes research investigators and staff to support VA research activities that may also be funded by other agencies, organizations, or corporations. All employees must also possess a “Without Compensation” (WOC) appointment through the Providence VA Medical Center’s Human Resources Service.
