The Observational & Pragmatic Research Institute aims to improve outcomes for patients by undertaking the highest quality observational research in disease burden and management.
We achieve this through direct involvement in the following initiatives:
Initiating, conducting and disseminating original studies that identify and address areas for improvement in patient care, treatments and medical interventions
High quality, pragmatic clinical research in collaboration with our network of community care providers throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
Partnership with key research collaborators in rest of world to enable truly international research
Working with industry partners to carry out unbiased real life research in the areas of drug development and regulatory compliance
Ensuring effective medical communications of real life research outcomes
Collaborating with clinical, academic and industry partners to drive a vision for inclusion of real-life research into all aspects of medical research
The Observational & Pragmatic Research Institute also works closely with non-profit organisations such as the Respiratory Effectiveness Group (REG)* and the European Network of Centres for Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacovigilance (ENCePP)**, as well as healthcare research database providers to set standards and best practices for conducting real-life research e.g. standardise nomenclature, ensuring database quality and refining research methods.
Having strongly established its expertise in real life research of asthma and COPD, The Observational & Pragmatic Research Institute’s studies today extends into other disease areas, including dementia, diabetes and allergies.
