For over twenty years, Northern Biomedical Research has collaborated with clients in the basic science, pharmaceutical and biomedical device communities to provide in vivo support in the development of treatments for diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s disease), multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, CNS oncology, lysosomal storage disorders and spinal muscular atrophy. The extensive experience, meticulous research and constant innovation of our scientists, surgeons and technicians put NBR in the forefront of CNS-targeted delivery and device research. We specialize in characterizing the pharmacology, toxicology, distribution (in CSF and parenchyma) and pharmacokinetic profiles of potential neuropharmaceuticals, evaluating delivery systems and devices, and testing novel surgical and therapeutic protocols. Techniques used provide unprecedented access to the CNS with minimal anatomical or physiological compromise. The results provide quality, precise and repeatable data on an assured basis, while working within a GLP environment. We look forward to discussing and implementing your research objectives.
