Experimental Pathology Shared Resource comprises two tightly affiliated Cores: the Histopathology Core and the Immunohistochemistry Core. This combined resource provides services for the microscopic analysis of tissues for clinical as well as experimental animal model studies. Administrative integration of the specific cores supports the seamless exchange of samples, information, and expertise between the different functional units, and facilitates directed “match-making” between investigators located at different sites and within different clinical and basic research departments. The Experimental Pathology Shared Resource closely interfaces with the Center for Biospecimen Research and Development, promoting collaborations necessary for novel translational studies.
