The Adele Smithers Parkinson’s Disease Treatment Center was created with one goal in mind to improve the quality of life for patients and their families suffering with this disease. As a student, you’ll learn how practitioners across several medical specializations collaborate to treat patients with Parkinson’s disease. You’ll also see firsthand the positive impact of technology supported by interdisciplinary partnerships with other NYIT programs, government agencies, and the health care industry.
Established in 1997, the center treats 250 people annually. Services offered include:
