What is INTA?
The National Agricultural Technology Institute (INTA) is a state agency decentralized operational and financial autarky, under the Ministry of Agro Industry of the Nation. It was created in 1956 and since then has developed research and technological innovation actions in value chains, regions and territories to improve competitiveness and sustainable rural development of the country.
Its efforts are focused on innovation as a motor of development and integrate capabilities to foster inter-institutional cooperation, generate knowledge and technologies and put them at the service of the sector through its extension, information and communication systems.
The institution has a presence in five ecoregions of Argentina (Northwest, Northeast, Cuyo, Pampeana and Patagonia), through a structure comprising: a central headquarters, 15 regional centers , 52 experimental stations , six research centers and 22 institutes research , and more than 350 units Extension
Meanwhile, two private entities created by the institution in 1993, Intea SA and ArgenINTA , join to form the INTA Group .
The result of INTA’s work allows the country to achieve greater potential and opportunities to access regional and international markets with products and services of high added value.
