OrganoPlates® are microfluidic 3D culture plates, supporting up to 96 tissue models on a single plate. OrganoPlates® contain Phaseguides, a proprietary, passive liquid handling technology for membrane-free definition of tissues in microfluidic chambers. OrganoPlates® are based on the industry-standard 384-well plate for full compatibility with liquid handling- and readout equipment. Within the plate, cells are contained in a gel, supporting 3D tissue configurations and cell-cell interactions. A continuous perfusion of media through the plate mimics blood flux and exchange of nutrients, oxygen and metabolites. The plates are versatile, supporting chemical gradients and co-culture conditions. In this way, complex tissue models can be implemented in a straightforward way.
