The Wetland Biogeochemistry Analytical Services (WBAS) is a nonprofit analytical laboratory providing state of the art instrumental and classical wet analytical chemistry. As an operating unit, WBAS provides goods and services to Universities and industry for a fee based on actual incurred costs and which has a total annual direct costs of providing those goods and services. Started in 2005 for supporting University Research and Teaching, the Laboratory is located within the Louisiana State University’s School of the Coast and Environment and is defined as a university service center. We presently specialize in primary nutrient analysis using an OI Analytical Flow Solution IV auto analyzer, a Costech 4010 elemental analyzer, a SRI 8610C GC and a Turner Designs TD-700 fluorometer among others.
