A critical component of brain tumour research
To aid researchers, the Brain Tumour Tissue Bank provides brain tumour samples from patients and matches clinical data for neuro-oncology research conducted in Canada and around the world. The Brain Tumour Tissue Bank was founded in 1991 and is located in the London Health Sciences Centre in London, Ontario
Interested researchers can review the information found here and can contact the tissue bank for information about what is currently available. In order to complete a request, an application must be completed.
""The BTTB is an outstanding and necessary resource for the Canadian Brain Tumour Community. It is only with ongoing support from the BTFC that it will continue to flourish. I will continue to use and support the BTTB on a cost recovery basis and recommend the tumour bank to other Canadian neuro-oncology researchers, especially those with few if any local options to procure brain tumour tissues."
