Julius Clinical is a unique academic research organization (ARO) that combines strong scientific leadership and operational excellence to conduct innovative national and global clinical trials.

The Julius Center was itself founded in 1996, after the merger of the UMC’s departments of Epidemiology and Public Health with Clinical Epidemiology. Overall, the centre contains a wealth of expertise in the disciplines of epidemiology, public health, general practice, biostatistics, and medical technology assessment.

Since its establishment, the Julius Center has been actively involved in the design, conduct, and reporting of groundbreaking phase IIB-IV clinical trials in Europe, in the fields of cardiovascular disease, infectious disease, oncology, genetics, and mental health.
