Institue for System Biology - Gene Expression Core

Website:
corefacilities.systemsbiology.org/gene-expression/microarrays
Headquarters:
Seattle, WA, US
Company Type:
Academic Core Facility

The Gene Expression Core Facility provides microarray, and quantitative PCR services, training and support. Consultation is available to all researchers at the Institute as well as external institutions and collaborators.
Systems biology approaches entail simultaneous measurements under numerous different biological conditions and time points. The Nucleic Acids Core houses various instruments to enable this high-throughput research. The microarray facility supports the Affymetrix, Agilent, and Exiqon platforms for RNA and miRNA measurements as well as an in-house spotter to fabricate custom oligo arrays. Also available are three ABI 7900HT real-time PCR instruments, the Fluidigm system (consisting of the C1 for single cell preperation and the Biomark for high troughput rtPCR), and the Nanostring nCounter for mRNA, DNA and miRNA expression measurements.
