The MS Society Tissue Bank allows both people with and without MS to donate their brain and spinal cord tissue after their death. Understanding MS damage will help us understand the causes of MS and find more effective treatments.
The Tissue Bank is the largest MS-specific brain donor scheme operational in Europe, and donated tissue samples are sent all over the world to help scientists enhance their knowledge of the condition. This world-class resource has supplied over 10,000 individual samples to laboratories since the bank was set up in 1998.
