1. Custom Metabolite Synthesis and Purification Services
Hypha is able to employ multiple tools to achieve successful synthesis of metabolites, comprising microbial biotransformation, mammalian liver fractions (S9 and microsomes), recombinant enzymes, and chemical synthesis, including use of our proprietary late-stage chemical glucuronidation platform.
- We can make all phase 1 (CYP and non-CYP) metabolites and phase 2 conjugates (e.g. acyl, O-, & N-glucuronides, sulfates), including difficult-to-synthesise and multi-step metabolites from mg scale for definitive Met ID through to multi-gram scale for toxicology testing
- We are experts in the purification of metabolites from complex matrices and clinical samples such as urine, and offer full structure elucidation services, including NMR interpretation as well as Certificates of Analyses.
2. PolarExplorer Service
We can achieve late stage diversification of drug compounds through parallel synthesis of multiple hydroxylated derivatives using our proven PolyCYPs enzyme technology. Users of this technology can achieve step-change properties of lead compounds such as increased polarity/potency and improvement in PK properties as well as valuable SAR information.

Hypha has extensive experience in all aspects of natural products chemistry, spanning microbial strain handling, fermentation, yield improvement, through to the purification and structure elucidation of the target compounds.
