Founded in 2002, Global Vaccines began operations in 2006 as a not-for-profit company dedicated to creating low-cost vaccine technologies for the developing world.
What drives us
Vaccines not only alleviate suffering caused by disease, but as part of a comprehensive vaccination program, they can also significantly improve the economies of affected countries. We see our work as part of a much wider effort to help developing countries. Read more
We develop and acquire state-of-the-art, platform vaccine technologies that can be applied to a broad spectrum of disease targets of both developing and developed countries. We apply these technologies to diseases of developing countries while sublicensing them to commercial companies for use in the more profitable markets of developed countries.
This sublicensing structure helps Global Vaccines to meet its goal of preventing disease in poor countries, while providing new, value-added technologies to the commercial pharmaceutical industry that are more fully proven and therefore less financially risky.
Our vaccine technologies have broad applications outside the vaccine field as well, and therefore hold great value to the commercial biotechnology market as a whole.
In several preclinical trials, Global Vaccines’ novel technologies have already shown remarkable promise across a range of disease targets.
