The Fraunhofer USA Center for Molecular Biotechnology (FhCMB) is a unique institution conducting translational research in the area of pharmaceutical biotechnology, utilizing cutting-edge technologies to advance products for prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases and autoimmune disorders. FhCMB, located in Newark, Delaware, is a division of Fraunhofer USA, Inc, a not-for-profit research organization.
FhCMB has assembled a dedicated and expert work force of over ninety full-time employees with extensive experience in research and development, GMP manufacturing, QA/QC, regulatory/clinical affairs and technology transfer. Lead scientists at the Center have published widely on recombinant protein production and are inventors on key enabling patents.
FhCMB is located in Newark, Delaware and occupies a 56,000 square foot building containing state-of-the-art laboratories, plant-growth facilities and a 12,000 square foot cGMP pilot production facility with the capacity to make gram quantities of protein products.
