The Foreign Trade Service (FTS) is a nationwide third-party independent sampling and inspection service. We specialize in imported food safety and FDA detentions. Our inspectors collect unbiased samples for food importers, brokers, processors and on behalf of private laboratories that conduct quality, safety and retail market analysis. FTS samples and inspects imported foods for grading, infestation, taints, tampering, pilfering and shipping damage. In addition, we supervise the loading and unloading of food product shipped by air, rail, truck,barge or ocean carrier. We certify weights, count and condition. FTS is an accredited laboratory. Together with our associate laboratories, FTS Laboratories provides a full range of food testing services.
