Ecotox Services International is a recognised Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) facility since 2011. Data generated in a GLP facility are recognised by all OECD member nations.
GLP ensures the production of high quality and reliable test data. ESI offers GLP testing for the evaluation of the toxic characteristics of substances to aquatic organisms (both freshwater and marine organisms) and to terrestrial organisms, including honeybees.
Pharmaceuticals, pesticides, biocides, industrial chemicals and cargoes carried by ships might all require to be ecotoxicologically assessed for registration purposes.
GLP testing is recommended for pesticide registration, the REACH programme and according to the Revised GESAMP Hazard Evaluation Procedure for Chemical Substances Carried by Ships.
Study directors at ESI are specialist ecotoxicologists with many years experience. Most have been instrumental in developing many of the toxicity tests using Australasian species that are now considered to be routine tests. Our staff have managed most of the significant contract testing projects undertaken in the Australasia region and continue to develop unique and innovative test methodologies to satisfy changing demands.
